Steady records, organizes and reminds — it does not diagnose, give insulin or medication doses, predict glucose, or alarm on glucose levels. Nothing in the app is medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your treatment and care decisions.
Steady stores the information you choose to enter, such as glucose readings, meals/carbohydrates, insulin and medication logs, ketones, lab results, blood pressure, reminders, supply inventory, an optional emergency card, and your profile and target settings. This is health-related information and we treat it accordingly.
All of the above is stored in an encrypted database on your device (SQLCipher). The encryption key is held in your device's secure keychain. By default the data never leaves your phone, and Steady works fully offline. We do not operate a server that receives your readings.
You can use every core feature without creating an account or being online. If optional cloud sync is offered in the future, it is strictly opt-in, off by default, and would sync summaries rather than your raw readings — and this policy will be updated before any such feature is enabled.
Steady contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not track your behaviour across apps or websites, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
You can create an encrypted backup protected by your own passphrase, or export your data as CSV/JSON/PDF to share with your doctor. These actions only happen when you initiate them. An encrypted backup cannot be opened without your passphrase, which we cannot recover — please keep it safe.
You own your data. You can delete individual entries at any time, and removing the app from your device removes its local database. Because we do not store your data on a server, there is no server-side copy for us to retain.
Steady is not directed to children under the age required by your local law to consent to data processing, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. A parent or guardian may use the app to record information on a child's behalf, on their own device and under their control.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
